Lmms and soundfont plugin misbehaving

For some reason, while it had worked before, the soundfont plugin (uses fluidsynth) for LMMS has stopped working properly.  It will play a few notes once in a while, but most of them are skipped.  Very annoying.  For the record, all of the other plugins work as well as ever.  Just this one does not.

The error I get is as follows.

** (process:13075): CRITICAL **: fluid_synth_alloc_voice: assertion `fluid_synth_is_synth_thread (synth)' failed

I also get a lot of this

fluidsynth: warning: chorus: Unknown modulation type. Using sinewave.
fluidsynth: warning: chorus: Unknown modulation type. Using sinewave.
fluidsynth: warning: chorus: Unknown modulation type. Using sinewave.
fluidsynth: warning: chorus: speed must be below 5.000000 Hz! Setting value to max.

If someone has any idea what's going on, I would appreciate it.  This is only a recent development, I've been using this same version of LMMS for quite some time.  Maybe fluidsynth upgraded and I have to downgrade the version?  Thanks!

[edit] I tried upgrading to svn and I haven't had any better luck[/edit]

Maybe I have to change something in my /etc/limits.d/?
