awesome shotes down when i use keyboard

Hallo people,

I have sucsessfully installed Archlinux and i love it. Since im allready testing new things i tought why not try out awesome?

- I installed awesome-git.
- So configured ~/.xinitab to "exec awesome".
- Login with Terminal
- exicute "startx"

Awesome looks fine so i started a terminal and tryed tipping something but then awesome shotes down and I'm back to the Terminal. Same happens when i use a Login Manager.

I use hal and evdev.

Here the Logfile right after it shot down to terminal again.

It seems that you've forgotten the log...
Also attach your rc.lua.

Hm. If you are using stock config, everything should be ok. And Xorg.log is ok. Hence, it is not X problem.
However, Xorg.log does not contain all debugging output from X session, but only related to X server.
Try to grab the full output. I think you can do it like this (I'm not sure):

startx >out 2>err

If this doesn't work, try xinit. You should write this into ~/.xinitrc:

exec awesome

and launch xinit in the similar way:

xinit >out 2>err

Hallo

I trayed startx >our 2>err but the logfile locked the same. So i tryed xinit (exec awesome was in ~/.xinitrc anywayes)  but it didnt start awesome it just started xterm i guess it was (liddle Terminal top left).

Whene i tryed writing something it frezzed and i head to reset the computer.

nickik, post your ~/.xinitrc here, to ensure that it starts awesome... Looks like it was the default twm. You mentioned ~/.xinittab in your first post, are you sure, that you have ~/.xinitrc also?
However, it is strange that system froze...
