The title says it all.
I get shunted into slim and is supposed to automagically _know_ the username and password which will let me log in - and it's certainly (as far as I can see) no-where to be found on/around the cd.
I threw away the live version of mandriva for the same reason! I'm too attached to arch to throw this away as well - but plueeeze ...

From the Install guide, I would suggest trying 'root' with no password.

*lol* tried root/nopw, root/root, root/admin, root/sys, arch/nopw, arch/arch, guest/guest and some half dozen more - still no luck.
I have no problem with the 'normal' installer - it is as you say - 'root' with no password.
This one really has got me stymied ...

http://arch-live.co.nr/ (google is my friend)
It's right there on the first page!: root/ArchLinux, arch/arch (though I tried the latter!)
However - with all due respect - this _should_ be on the cd when it boots!!!
re the mandriva-live I thew away - I waded through absolutely_all_ of the mandriva pages without finding it - that's when I say "enough is enough!"

Oh, shoot, I didn't notice you were talking about arch-live, which is a community project.
Where did you get the ISO if not from the arch-live official homepage?

Sorry for OffTopic but have you ever thought about torrent downloads? Because <15 kb/s is not much fun and I guess you won't like too much traffic on a single server.
