[SOLVED] ALSA missing libasound.so.2

Hi there!

Did a fresh install of arch and alsa worked fine before installing Xorg(did a aplay /usr/share/sound/alsa/Front_Center.wav).
Installed kdemod and skype, then suddently alsa finds no sound card.
Reinstalled alsa but it didn't work.
Found a tip on google to remove libasound.so.*, did that and now it finds my sound card but when installing alsa i do not get libasound.so.2 back hmm

What package provides libasound.so.2?

Re: [SOLVED] ALSA missing libasound.so.2

Thank you, that got rid of the error.

But now I am getting this:

cannot open mixer: No such file or directory

when trying to open alsamixer.

And this:

ALSA lib confmisc.c:768:(parse_card) cannot find card '0'
ALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib confmisc.c:392:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings
ALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib confmisc.c:1251:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating name
ALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib conf.c:4633:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib pcm.c:2211:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default
aplay: main:608: audio open error: No such file or directory

When trying to play Front_Center.wav

The daemon starts without any error.

Re: [SOLVED] ALSA missing libasound.so.2

I feel so stupid, had by accident not added myself to the 'audio' group.

That fixed the problem.
