I've looked everywhere as to how to get arrow keys working in finch. I can't figure out what broke it because they were working a few days ago. I'm at an impasse. The keys work in all other programs: irssi, urxvt, vim (not that i would ever use them here ), and any other console-based packages.
echo $TERM = rxvt-unicode
fwiw, the arrow keys currently produce the following output in finch:
UP - OA
DOWN - OB
LEFT- OD
RIGHT- OC
Anyone have an idea what i need to edit to restore this functionality?
Thanks!

My arrow keys are not working. What can I do? ¶
Make sure there is a correct terminfo setting for your terminal. For example, try setting $TERM to "screen" instead of "screen.linux".

i've tried that many times and it's not the quick fix the FAQ makes it out to be. I don't use screen anyway so changing $TERM away from rxvt-unicode would point to nothing. Thanks for the response though

export TERM=screen; finch

i've tried that, too. it seems to cause some serious issues when booting, though, and i don't reccomend it. as for screen, i don't use it.
