Hi all,
starting yesterday, I experience the following problem on my system: If I don't touch mouse and keyboard for about 60 seconds, the screen goes blank. My system runs arch-x86 with KDE4, all updates done, only standard repos activated (no testing).
Here are the screensaver settings:
--> "Start automatically" is disabled
And here the power management settings:
--> profile "Performance" is always used, as it's a desktop and therefore the AC adaptor is always plugged in
--> screen power management is disabled in the "Performance" profile
Does anyone else have the same problem? Any ideas what to do to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance & kind regards,
jamesbond007.

Hi again,
I was told on the IRC to try the following commands:
xset -dpms
xset s off
and
kdesu "xset -dpms"
kdesu "xset s off"
But unfortunately, the problem remains the same...

Sometimes it happens here too and logging out and in helps.

I confirm this behavior. And lucke's suggestion works for me as well.
Note that it gets triggered randomly (or by a program which I haven't observed).

Thanks for your answers. So it seems to be a KDE bug?
Meanwhile I solved the problem by activating "Start automatically" after 1.000 minutes...

Happens with me too randomly!

@ jamesbond007: I don't thing that this is a kde bug. I have installed Kdemod 4.3.4 and all work fine with screensaver and Power Manager.

I've seen this once too, would have to do with Xorg server or Powerdevil.
