Hello,
I've installed yaourt.
I start using it as root but I noticed a warning that said it isn't secured.
I tried as normal user but it fails sometimes (with notify-osd-bzr or songbird for exemple)
I read somewhere that you have to add something in the visudo file but I didn't find any explanation
Thank you

Does it fail everytime you use yaourt to install something from AUR, or just on some files?

I haven't installed many packages
As I remeber :
it works for dropbox, nautilus-dropbox, aurvote
and it didn't for notify-osd-bzr and songbird (which I wasn't able to install even with root for an unknown reason)

Add the following to /etc/sudoers USING visudo
USERNAME ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/pacman
USERNAME ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/pacdiffviewer
SHOULD help your issue.
It the 1st line you need to install from AUR

Surely you should not have to mess about with your privileges to make yaourt work for certain packages? What errors did you get when it failed to install songbird etc?

I'm guessing a connectivity issue (see post about 'didn't work even as root').
Just don't run yaourt as root. Ever.

man yaourt tells you about the two lines you need to enter in /etc/sudoers
