dwm and youtube fullscreen

When I press the fullscreen button on videos on youtube.com, nothing happens apart from my screen flashing. My window manager is dwm and browser firefox. Thanks for any help.

PS: just to clarify, I am not talking about the fullscreen function of the browser (hotkey F11), but the button on the video itself.

I always had to float before doing youtube fullscreen.
Not sure if there is a fix, maybe someone else knows. but floating works

I've tried that, and the fullscreen still closes almost as soon as it pops up. Using openbox there isn't any problem.

No fix per se, but I think Anselm is looking into the issue for dwm. Check out the suckless mailing list for details.

Is it a problem caused by newer flash versions or an internal dwm problem, because it worked in previous versions.

This is a known bug (for some curiosity I received the same report via privmail from 2 other people within one week, really strange).
The quick fix is commenting out the code in lines 817/818 in hg tip dwm. I cannot confirm this has no side effects (I think it does) and will address this issue shortly with a real fix.

When you really miss this feature then simply open the flash file with mplayer. While loading the flash video in the browser it is available in /tmp.

So simply do mplayer /tmp/*
