I installed it as soon as it was in [testing], and it has been working flawlessly for me. I didn't see either bugs or big improvements as an end-user, so, eh.

It also appears stable.

i don´t know if this is the right place for this .. but who cares..


i read that Xorg 6.8.2 doesn´t need the freetype 1 library anymore.. but why is xorg in testing depend on freetype1 ? (freetype2 is used instead)

Should my ATI 8500 keep working when I install this, or do I need to wait for new ATI packages that support 6.8.2? Needless to say, I'm using the proprietary ones.

It should work, but you may need to reinstall the driver.
