No spreadsheet at KSpread

I have a strange problem with KSpread. I have no spreadsheet. I start KSpread and choose a template (for example Student ID Card). After that on the next screen i see the toolboxes etc but the spreadsheet is missing.

I deleted already the koffice and the kspread folder in my home directory. In the console i see the error message "interpreter not found: ruby". I installed ruby but this doesn't help.

Maybe someone here knows what to do...I hope cause I need it fast.

I confirm the precise issue you are having. On KSpread 2.1.0 (using KDE 4.3.4), no spreadsheet / cells appear when clicking on the "Blank Worksheet" option.

I reported this bug a while ago on 2009-10-14 to the KDE Bug Tracking System.

As of yet, the problem hasn't been resolved and several such bug reports now exist. Thanks for this post!
