It's commercial software with 3d-accel

Which program is it VMware or something else?

VirtualBox (he was referring to how VirtualBox can play games since it has 3d-acceleration support nowadays).

So does VMware. I wonder which one performs better in 3D?

I was under the impression that VMware has slightly better overall VM performance.

I don't know for sure, but the last time I used VMWare workstation I found it a little bit faster, but much more complicated and less logically laid out (this was a few years ago though).  Never went back once VirtualBox came out.  In any case, I was just clarifying that ootput was referring to VirtualBox with his above comment (since I believe the poster before was asking what software he was referring to).  Generally, I don't think the performance boost you'd get from VMWare workstation will be too noticeable (possibly a few FPS more), but don't quote me on that wink

Anybody recognize what font is used in that terminal? :\ I am thinking Monte Carlo, but then I am second guessing myself.

Bored, so thought of posting another screen. OpenBSD as usual, doing some work on my Sorcerer Linux box.

My first KDE screens. After a long time with Openbox I grew tired of minimalism and decided to see how the other half live. So, in for a penny, in for a pound, I went big...KDE4.

Enjoying it so far. It feels very smooth and stable. Kwin is as good as Compiz, it even has festive snow. tongue

I have to say...even though I'm not generally a fan of KDE, that's a nice desktop setup you've got there smile  Very festive indeed.

It's an info script that's been floating around the forums for a while.  There are a few different versions of it; this one has a different logo than the one Szycha's using, but I edited it a little for KDE4:

#!/usr/bin/perl
use Switch;
use strict;
use File::Basename;

## Config options ##
####################

## What distro logo to use to use, Available "Archlinux Debian Ubuntu None" ##

## what values to display. Use "OS Kernel DE WM win_theme Theme Font Icons" ##
my $display = "OS Kernel DE WM Win_theme Theme Font Monospace Background";

## Takes a screen shot if set to 0 ##
my $shot = 0;
## Command to run to take screen shot ##
my $command = "scrot -c -d 5";

## What colors to use for the variables. ##
my $textcolor = "\e[0m";

## Prints little debugging messages if set to 0 ##
my $quite = 1;

Edit: oops, seems I was a little too slow (and a bit outdated).  I suppose this might be of interest because of the KDE stuff, but melik's Python version is much cleaner.  (Nice to see it in the AUR now, too!)

tMzI4eg

just got my arch working. ditched openbox, but didnt remove everything, and i have quite a lot of extra packages i dont use, so it has turned out to be even worse then Ubuntu.

might reinstall.

Gtk: Elegant Brit
Wallpaper:Related to Elegant Brit
Icons: Elementary.

Might change my theme if I don't end up reinstalling.

Nothing special, nothing hilarious, just simple fluxbox with conky and other apps tongue

How do you get that thingy with Arch logo and system info in terminal? Can I get this in KDE4?

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=30517

I think it should work on KDE.
