Thank you for your non-constructive input. I appreciate the time.
I couldn't care less what you think though ;-)

Indeed it was a response to the attitude of the other poster, maybe to hard.
That person definitely don't like it, and I definitely don't care since it wasn't constructive criticism.
Anyway lighten up, this isn't great stuff, just made for fun.

The second one is better, but the sky looks kinda strange. You could change its color and make it little bit more detailed, so it would be much better.
Laptop: Hp Dv7-2123 with 32-bit Arch Linux and Windoze Visva dual-booted

It doesn't look bad. But I think maybe you should make the logo smaller and have more space around it?
Since this way, it looks way too big now.

Thanks for your input, will try make something more minimalistic from scratch in the future.
I think you are absolutely right, that the logo here is way too big for a desktop wallpaper.
It's just a quick and dirty mod of the original great artwork made by someone else.

On a negative note... I definitely wouldn't use it.
On a possitive note... The only reason I won't use it is I make my own wallpaper All things considered though, great concept and decent implementation. A few things could use tweaking (such as the aformentioned sky), but all in all, it's original, it's creative, and it fits the season. Keep up the good work!

Yes it seemed like a fun concept. Sure needs some tweaking. Maybe it will turn out decent.

It's already decent. It's already better than some of the work that's been submitted over the years (including some of mine), it's just not the absolute best work I've seen yet.
Yes it's only a quick and dirty mod after all, based on someone elses artwork, and I'm just learning basics.
Anyway, thanks for encouraging comments.

I know it's final, but as a suggestion, you could make one with ornaments hanging off the Arch trees. That would make it look more like xmas imo.

Yes you're right. So here is an alternate version.
Cool Maybe you could add some kind of texture to the snow to make it look more like snow rather than just a solid colour. And also add vignetting to add more depth to it.
Keep up the good work

Thanks! Yes good points.
Made some fast changes for snow. Very far from perfect. After all it's just a quick and dirty mod.
This is the last one from me. I'm out. Thank you all for feedback.

Shadows under "archlinux" are bletcherous.
And combination of flat snow and 3d logo is not good too. I think, there should be flat archlinux logo.

No worries.
What 3d software are you using btw?

I do like the last version. Even if I prefer simpler wallpapers

Looks a little AMD-ish.
