Hi guys,
Compiz works fine in KDE4; but I'm not able to invoke it in XFCE.
$ compiz --replace
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
I generated an xorg.conf, and added the AIGLX and Composite options, but still no dice. Also, it worked in KDE4 without the xorg.conf, so I'm guessing its something xfce related.
I'm using an Asus Eee PC, 1005HA. xf86-video-intel is the driver in use. Interestingly, glxgears does not run, I instead get a segfault.
Any suggestions?

Not sure how much help I'd be able to provide, but posting the xorg.conf might be helpful, as well as /var/log/Xorg.0.log from running with xfce and kde to compare.

There is no xorg.conf; I don't use it cause it doesn't seem to make a difference. Xorg.0.log are identical. The error I get is pretty well summed up here;

I get similar errors, but KWin works (even as the WM in xfce), but compiz doesn't. All help is greatly appreciated.

Apparently this was fixed in mesa-7.6.0, but I'm not sure why it doesn't work for me.
