Awesome, KDE and tray

Hi people,
I have a strange problem: some of the kde apllications (kmix, kwallet) doesn't show tray icon if I use awesome instead of kwin and plasma.
I can see that app is running (in process table, dbus interface), it responds to the hokeys, but there is no traces of it in systray sad

Details: kdemod-4.3.4-1, awesome-git, xorg-server-1.7.3.901-1, xf86-video-intel-2.9.1-1.
To use awesome instead of Kwin, I've added KDEWM=/usr/bin/awesome in ~/.xprofile.

Update: if I start plain awesome and then run kmix, icon is where it should be.

Re: Awesome, KDE and tray

Try to change Kwin to awesome creating a new script awesome.sh in:

~/.kdemod4/env/

with:

kDEWM=/usr/bin/awesome

Change permissions chmod a+x and reboot.

Re: Awesome, KDE and tray

I've tried that. This is not related to problem and give the same result as setting the KDEWM in xprofile.
Seems that starting KDE with Awesome in this way gives applications with new system tray protocol an illusion, that new tray is there whereas it is not, and they are ignoring awesome's tray sad
I've found corresponding records in both KDE and Awesome bug trackers. Trying to revive KDE's one, since it closed as resolved. They say that problem is in awesome, but I'm sure that it is in KDE.
