[SOLVED]iwlagn driver: SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory

I am unable to connect to the internet on my inspiron 13 with an Intel PRO/Wireless 4965 wireless card. I'm using the iwlagn driver which comes with the Linux kernel.

I loaded the iwlagn module successfully. I type ifconfig -a and my wireless card, wlan0, shows up fine.

I type iwconfig and, again, wlan0 shows up, looking good.

I type iwlist wlan0 scan and I get this error:

wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down

So I type ifconfig wlan0 up and get this error:

SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory

I've searched Google for answers, but all I'm getting is results where people don't have the correct drivers installed/configured. I know that iwlagn works with my laptop...but something's not right.

Any ideas?

SOLVED: I'm an idiot and forgot to install my firmware! Problem's fixed now thanks to an ethernet cord and a quick pacman.
