Mesa 7.7 and Xorg

Hey i see its now in official arch repo with all libgl, ati-dri and so on..everything updated!
but whats the diffewrence between this and old buggy Mesa, libgl, ati-dri?
Some new features, fixed bugs maybe??

I really didnot feel this difference...my ati video with opensource drv works as panfully slow as it used to for half a year ago..((
and whats the new xorg? and when archers will see complete (not RC!!!) Xorg server version??

Re: Mesa 7.7 and Xorg

Try to disable KMS. In menu.lst add "nomodeset" to the kernel line.

Re: Mesa 7.7 and Xorg

linuxgod, I've seen a few of your posts recently, and I think you should learn more about Linux in general and Arch Linux in particular.

Particularly, the rate of development in common open-source projects, and what RC actually means in a project like Xorg, and where the open source ati driver comes from.

Re: Mesa 7.7 and Xorg

Then try to review errors.log, Xorg.log in /var/log folder for any error.
