Hi,
I know Koffice its there, but as i dont use KDE i cant use Koffice (or thats what i think), anyway, i tryed running "openoffice" but there is no such command, also i searched with pacman -Q and again, no pkg. So, i use abiword for docs and such, but for .xls?? what to use??
Thnx in advance!

the official office suite bundled with the cd is Koffice, the OO is not in the cd :? , but you can still install koffice, pacman will install it's dependecies no matter what WM you use it will be slower

The correct syntax for searching for packages is pacman -Ss (search term). You can install it by running pacman -S openoffice if you're connected to the 'net. After installation, open a terminal as a normal user and execute /opt/openoffice/setup. After that, you can start openoffice by running /opt/openoffice/program/soffice.
