Well, I just followed the wiki instructions, works fine on my T42 using the packages in core and extra. As you can read on the main page, they disabled KMS for kernel 2.6.32 and I left it that way. 3D performance is quite good, just need to find out why Kwin compositing doesn't work. IMO there's no need for experimental code.

well, i agree, now its about 1700 fps in glxgears but its only 10fps more than it was before, so i think its insufficient..
