I boot up and

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hubI want to watch TV using my DVB-T receiver and it is not found
I unplug the little devil and check dmesg:
usb 5-2: USB disconnect, address 2
dvb-usb: bulk message failed: -22 (2/-1)And from then on whatever I plug into usb does not work. It is as though my usb ports are dead. However, the little lamp on the DVB-T receiver is lit and my usb-keyboard continues to function.
If I do lsusb in the terminal it just sits there and does nothing. CTRL+C ends in:
toad@deskarch 980\9 ~ > lsusb
^C^C^C^C^CThe terminal is basically lost.
Thing is, I cannot do without USB and I cannot do without Arch...
HELP!!!
EDIT:
Okay, I changed the signature 'cos I found out about the culprit: mythtv. I took the daemon out of my rc.conf and everything is working again as advertised - apart from mythtv which never worked. Time to get on that mythtv irc channel...

Some more info:
I unplug the receiver, do a dmesg and get the following:
