webcam not working MSI Wind u100

fn+F6 is supposed to turn it on but it's not working
If I try:

showkey -s

it registers no code for those two keys...

Could this be a hardware issue?

if I press fn+F6 and check dmesg it reads:

Use 'setkeycodes e06e <keycode>' to make it known

so something is picking up the key press...

I tried modprobe uvcvideo as well, it used to work but stopped.

Re: webcam not working MSI Wind u100

I'm experiencing this issue as well. It may have something to do with the new kernel or hal-info perhaps? There was an update recently. Also, it seems the bug exists in other Linux distributions like OpenSuSE http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/lap … rking.html and Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/435352. I'm not certain if a patch can be produced or we'll have to wait for a subsequent release. This is kind of a serious bug.

On my Wind's keyboard it's fm+F6. Camera works. Misspelled?
