/dev/sda is my hd,
/dev/sdb is the fuse, See what's wrong? The drive appears, but not the partitions. That was the output of fdisk -l.
Do you think there's a module that needs to be loaded?

do you have fuse in proper mode
may be try
Settings → USB Mode to MSC
if in wrong mode linux wont be able to mount
i know its this way with my sansa the fuse has different hardware & software so it may be a combination of buttons to push to change mode
which ever the case you want device to be in MSC mode
as far as partitions sandisk did some odd stuff with this so be careful you dont brick your player
check over at http://www.rockbox.org/ for more info on this device

When set to wrong mode, fdisk -l won't recognize fuze at all, so it is a bit different though. if set to MSC, fdisk -l outputs 4 partitions, complaining that it doesn't look like a partition table. I noticed also that mount /dev/sdb* wont work as it usually does (assuming sdb is your fuze), so just type
mount /dev/sdb/ /mnt/sansa/
after you've made sure it is set to MSC and see if it works.

Yeah. It just seems to be on this laptop. All my other computers (they ALL run linux) can recognize the fuse. And yes it is in the right mode. I actually posted a topic on the ubuntuforums a while back on how to get rockbox on your fuse. I have last week's svn build. Sadly, rockbox does not support USB on the fuse yet. Oh well, the original firmware works for that.
