Keep it computer related XD
A few things I'm looking forward to is the removal of hal and html5 replacing my need for flash videos.

+1 for HTML5.
I was excited for Intel's Larrabee GPU, but that has been canceled. To me, GNOME 3 now looks like a mess, so I'm not too excited about that anymore either.
I'm excited to see if I can go a whole year without changing Linux distributions. I have used Slackware and Debian each for over a year, with a whole lot of other distros used a little bit in between. I'm really enjoying Arch, so it looks hopeful.
Although I don't use Apple products, I'm excited to see what they come out with, especially in regards to the tablet-whatever-thingy.
I'm excited about the new Ubuntu LTS release. We'll probably install it on my wife's computer to replace Hardy.

Better open ATI drivers (already pretty good, but will get even better)
Later versions of Firefox
More sites start using HTML5 (not just the video tags, all of HTML5)
Later versions of KDE
See what Gnome 3 is like and how people react on release

Working vdpau for a single video player that I can use. I tried mplayer-svn but that kept crashing.. Maybe in 10 years I can watch HD videos on a PC.
