how can i play a svcd ?

i have tried ogle and it says it can't read the ifo
mplayer gets the video all scrambled
xine says it's missing a plugin

what software should i use to play svcds ?

Both mplayer and xine should open SVCDs, and maybe ogle to.

Check if you have installed the codec that xine says you miss

i solved it by compiling vlc
could not install from the rep since i had a custom version of wxgtk on my system
