[SOLVED] [GNOME] Audio is muted at start up - ALSA mixer

Hello all,

Everytime I do a hard reboot, Arch resets my sound. This is not that big of a problem but it takes alot away from the polished OS feeling that I am going for. Plus it gets annoying having to find the right volume level after a while:

How can I make my audio settings permanent? I am part of the user group "audio".

Is 'alsa' in your daemons line of /etc/rc.conf?

After unmuting and setting up your volumes, run this as root:

alsactl store

If this doesn't work, try adding this to your /etc/rc.local :

alsactl restore

This steps are also described in the wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALS … at_startup
