[Request] Winff - Frontend for FFMPEG

Winff is a frontend for FFMPEG that runs on Windows XP, Linux. It will convert most any video file that FFmpeg will convert. WinFF does multiple files in multiple formats at one time. You can for example convert mpeg's, flv's, and mov's, all into avi's all at once.

Re: [Request] Winff - Frontend for FFMPEG

I think winff is a poor GUI for ffmpeg.

It doesn't even include a progress bar or simple calculated features as, time left, estimated file size etc. As far as processing the text output of ffmpeg it could be a lot more helpful.

I built myself a great gui for ffmpeg using delphi on windows and now I'm in the process of porting it to linux with the aid of lazarus, even tho the windows build runs fine via wine.

Maybe biggmatt thought the FF meant french fries wink

It has the benefit that people who know nothing about encoding (and do not want to know) can just pick a preset and it will generally turn out well.

Your gui looks nice though - did you ever release a windows version of the final program?

Not really on topic, but a very nice front end is traGtor.

http://mein-neues-blog.de/tragtor-gui-for-FFmpeg/ (unlike the URL suggests, there's an English text)
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31247

It depends on pygtk.

It was in AUR because I installed it a few months ago.I don't know what's happened with it.
