I've got one question: did you place the windows that way manually or you've used some special openbox actons?
Thanks!
Well, I placed them manually. But I would like to know more about placing windows, if thats possible. (this is my first openbox experiance, 1 week). The only thing I did for now was margin the desktop so that maximized screens wouldn't cover conky.

Regarding placing windows you should take a look at the MoveToEdge and GrowToEdge actions, they are very useful (the Grow one especially) --> http://icculus.org/openbox/index.php/Help:Actions
How did you manage to margin the desktop?
EDIT: I got it!

for those Archers that like Openbox and its simplicity, here is a website with some nice-looking simple desktop backgrounds. There are only some 40 of them, but the collection seems to be growing. And all of them are simple and "non-distracting". A nice fit for the simple elegant WM that is Openbox

This is a bit unrelated but im dying to find out. In the pic above, there is system specs shown with the arch logo done in ascii and i see it everywhere. Is it just a command, or is it a custom script people use when screenshoting their systems?
