High CPU usage problem

Hello, when i play videos in high definition(H.264 - smplayer - opengl), i get the usage of CPU at 100% and an terrible lag.

What could i do?

System especification:
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz
Radeon HD 4650
1 GB RAM
...
