Is that DWM? If so, could you possibly paste the part of your xinitrc that displays cpu load / mem load on DWM's statusbar? cheers

Nah, xmonad/xmobar. I snatched the config from someone else in the December SS thread. Here's the config though:

Config { font = "-*-anorexia-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*"
       , bgColor = "#000000"
       , fgColor = "#888888"
       , position = Top
       , lowerOnStart = True
       , commands = [ Run StdinReader
                    , Run Cpu ["-L","7","-H","50","--low","#888888","--normal","#99bb10","--high","#d12828"] 10
                    , Run Memory ["-t","Mem: <usedratio>%"] 10
                    , Run Date "%a %b %_d<fc=#9c8e2d> %H:%M</fc>" "date" 10
                    ]
       , sepChar = "%"
       , alignSep = "}{"
       , template = "%StdinReader% }{ %cpu% <fc=#272727>|</fc> %memory% <fc=#272727>|</fc> %date%"
       }

Re: January 2010 Screenshots

@dannytatom

Looks like anorexia is not picked up as your xmobar font. Or is the config copy pasted from the December thread?

Eh, it's the one I'm using, I've just been too lazy to change the font and/or get that font. hmm

Thought so. Coz that one looks like fixed 11 pixelsize or clean. Anorexia is part of artwiz fonts package which is very popular. Install artwiz fonts, and then you should have it. Thanks for clarifying.

Re: January 2010 Screenshots

Not much change from december, but I like it a lot. This is my ancient desktop machine (ca 1 ghz amd ahtlon anno 2001?, 768 mb ram) which soon will be either retired or rebuilt into some kind of backup server, when I can afford to buy a spanking new machine.

Clean:
tMzUzcA

Dirty (urxvt -> screen):
tMzUzbA

WM: xmonad (+ xmobar), xcompmgr. That's about it. Freshly booted and X started, only about 72 mb ram is used. Adding firefox to the pool adds at least 100 mb ram usage and saddens the cpu sad  i really should look into light weight browsers...

What panel do you use on top there? Dzen(s)? Mind sharing a bit of info on it, icons etc?
