[SOLVED]download-but not insall- from an alternate repo

i need wvdial on my x86_64 machine to get through the install and want to get pacman to fetch wvdial and wvstreams from the x86_64 repos on my i686 box without installing them.

but i need to know how to fetch from a x86 extra repo without installing on an i686 machine?

Use wget:

wget http://archlinux.unixheads.org/extra/os/x86_64/wvdial-1.61-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
wget http://archlinux.unixheads.org/extra/os/x86_64/wvstreams-4.6.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz

awesome, thanks for the quick reply. just one more little thing before i mark this [SOLVED]... erm, where did it save them to LOL
