hello again,
still a pretty vanilla Gnome session...and troubles. setting .xinitrc to ck-launch-session seems to have helped somewhat...I can do without gdm in the daemons section and get into Gnome with ability to mount CDs...that's good.
Still having troubles with some of the System>Preferences modules...many of them crash the X session with a "gnome-settings-daemon" error...
thoughts? Is this a VBox issue?
