freedesktop's submenu: how to?

I want to add some menu entry for my application using freedesktop.org. But I don't understand how to create a submenu of my own to put the multiple application's entries.

For example, I want this hierarchy:
Configuration/My App/Entry 1
Configuration/My App/Entry 2
...

How can I create the "My App" submenu? Thanx!
