Hello!
Does the forum has a RSS feed where all the messages appear as they become posted? If yes, where can I find the url?
You might be wondering why I want to have this RSS.
I'm especially interested in some kind of software (xmonad, uzbl, emacs etc) that I use every day. I want to know what people say about them and what is happening with them. It's too time consuming to do search on each of this key word. I want the search to take place automatically - in my Google Reader.
RSS for search results would be great, but I've already checked if the forum supports RSS for search result - it doesn't. So the only way to achieve this functionality is by using such a RSS feed in combination with Yahoo ! Pipes [1] to filter only those of them that I'm interested in.
There might be nice alternative/accompanying tools to try in these messages - it's the second reason why I want to have this RSS in my Google Reader. Significant part of software I use come from messages where people say "I was using Foo, when I first saw Bar, and Bar seemed to be much better than Foo". Having a Yahoo Pipes filtering "Foo" you are likely to come across "Bar".
For example, if you like stumpwm (but have never heard of other some tiling wm), sooner or later you'll find it mentioned in one message with xmonad - another great pice of software.
I know about http://bbs.archlinux.org/extern.php?act … e&type=RSS, but this feed contains topic names, not posts.
I've found no ways to make this kind of passive search possible with Archlinux BBS so far.
