[solved]Why is an AUR package promoted to [community] with only i686?

Hi, I'm a user of ardour-lv2 from the AUR. I just realized a package it depends on, rubberband, has been moved to [community] within last month or so. While I'm appreciative that more and more packages get added to [community], this package is only available as i686 in [community], when it built fine on my x86_64 previously from the AUR.

I will be contacting the maintainer shortly, but my primary question is:- if a package from the AUR is promoted to [community] by a TU, should it not be compiled for all architectures it supports? Otherwise it is depriving the users of the 'other' architecture because it is no longer easily available via the AUR.

Yes, if a TU adopts a package he should make sure it will be available for both arches. (if he does not have an x86_64 machine he can ask other TUs for help)

It looks like that package was added on the 25th Dec and the usual people who do needed building for x86_64 are on holiday. I'm sure it will correct itself soon...

If building for x86_64 is still needed, let me know... I can do rebuilds if necessary.

Yes, my bad. Ghost1227 offered to build all of them when I committed the 32s, but only one of the deps was up at that time so he managed only that one and probably didn't have the time for the rest. I should've informed wonder as well.

But anyways, the last week of December and first week of January is probably peak period for some people, so it'll all be fine and dandy soon enough. Happy new year!
