What does the "As dependency" mean? I have done some searching, but without luck.

I've not used aurget, but I suspect it has to do with pacman's --asdeps option:
--asdeps
Install packages non-explicitly; in other words, fake their install reason to be installed as a dependency. This is useful for makepkg and other build from source tools that need to install dependencies before building the package.

It means that when you uninstall the package which needs it with pacman -Rns, if it was installed as a dep, it will be removed.
