You should provide some information about what you have already tried and where the problem is or what is not working. If you follow a particular guide, then give some information about it.

The configuration file (acpi-eeepc-generic.conf) is well annotated: read through it and uncomment/comment the options that best suit your setup. If you have specific questions, post them.

OK. Yaourt is exposing the process of installing a package for you.
For this package, you should be fine just accepting the options as it goes. Once you have said looked at the PKGBUILD close out of nano and yaourt will ask you if you want to proceed. This will happen again with the install file. You'll be asked for your password before it finally installs the package.
Once it is installed, make the changes to the conf file
# nano etc/conf.d/acpi-eeepc-generic.conf

I'm trying to adapt the pkg for gentoo. I went through PKGBUILD and ran the commands by hand, edited acpi-eeepc-generic.conf and restarted acpid. Then I tried to toggle the wifi. It went off but I couldn't turn it back on. cat /proc/net/wireless comes up empty. But the blue LED goes off and on. here's the last 50 lines of /var/log/messages http://dpaste.com/142299/ Sorta ambiguous. But the proper modules *are* installed. Hope someone's still reading this.
