first off i'm not a waller i never really make wallpapers i just wanted to try and this is what i came up with i got the ninjagirl from animepaper.net most of my walls are from there. Well here you go!
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318 … hninja.png
i just notice that my Photobucket account doesn't accept files bigger then 1024x768. The original wall is 1600x1200.
Here is a link for 1600x1200

i finally got around to doing the edit that Xyne asked might not be want he wanted, i wish there would be a way to know the original colors that was used like a stats sheet for photos that way if you go back to edit you use the same colors. I bet there is already something in Gimp for that and i just don't know it yet.

It doesn't fit my current desktop style, but I like it. The clean lines of the character against the simple background create nice constrast.
I have two suggestions though:
* make the Arch-Openbox logo the same size as the normal Arch logo to bookend the text
* use the same flat grey color for the Openbox logo to make it look like a cutout on the blue band
I don't know that these suggestions would look better, but it would be interesting to see.

Thanks for trying to implement my idea. I actually had something more like this in mind, although I don't actually like it now that I've seen it:

I tried to clean up some of the girl's edges. Here's a version without the openbox logo if you want to use it:

Do you know about the eye-dropper in the color selection dialogue? That lets you grab any color on the screen. With it you can easily grab the exact color that you've used somewhere in the image.

Heres a widescreen (16:9) version of the wallpaper without the Openbox logo:

Yes I know, using google pages as an image host is uncommon.
