vim PKGBUILD?

Anyone know why the PKGBUILD for vim/gvim don't include these?

for those who don't like to click, there's a total of 62 patches for vim there

Re: vim PKGBUILD?

would be a horribly ugly pkgbuild, but it probly wouldnt be hard to include a tarball of them with the pkgbuild and then a script to run through and patch them all..

would be nice to have though, does fix some problems ive been having

Re: vim PKGBUILD?

might as well make sense to store a snapshot of the patched sources on archlinux.org like how judd did it for glibc 2.3.4 prereleases. am i right? big_smile

Re: vim PKGBUILD?

Why do you say it's a bad looking PKGBUILD? I think it's pretty :-)

Seriously, I'm using custom vim/gvim PKGBUILDS for cream:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=7052
Almost all patches (not all are needed - some are for vim-extra package) are included. They seem to work fine. I added -with-features=big which is a requirement for cream. I also added vim-language package (just to try it out). I compiled the packages 2 days ago. So far it looks like all is running fine.

Re: vim PKGBUILD?

yeah lanrat, it was the pkgbuilds you used for cream that made me look at those... i think they should be in the official package...

Re: vim PKGBUILD?

by the way, what does the "--enable-features=big" enable?
