little question

Today i had this update

core/zlib 1.2.3.3-3 -> 1.2.3.4-3

shouldn´t it be

core/zlib 1.2.3.3-3 -> 1.2.3.4-1

or did i understand anything wrong about what the y in x.x.x.x-y means?

Re: little question

don't know about this case but packages in testing can be updated while still in testing.

Re: little question

Yes, zlib went through 1.2.3.4-1 and 1.2.3.4-2 already.

[ngoonee@ngoonee-laptop ~]$ ls /var/cache/pacman/pkg/zlib-1.2.3.4-*
/var/cache/pacman/pkg/zlib-1.2.3.4-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
/var/cache/pacman/pkg/zlib-1.2.3.4-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
/var/cache/pacman/pkg/zlib-1.2.3.4-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
