Can someone explain to me why drop down menu's don't work? Like google's suggestion box?

I assume you mean the suggestions from Google. I honestly can never tell when it's going to appear. It's seems to appear randomly for me, on different OSs and different browsers.

Although, there is a setting for it under "Settings" on the Google homepage. Did you accidentally disabled it?

Probably not. It works on other distros. But not arch. I honestly don't know. It never worked on arch. No idea why!
