automount@openbox [SOLVED]

Hi,
I can't getting automount to work on Openbox, I've tried it with pcman, thunar an nautilus.
I've installed pmount and thunar-volman installed.
It doesn't work with usb-devices and also with CDs.
With nautilus i just get "unotherized".

I'm getting the following error with thunar:

Rejected send message, 1 matched rules,
type="method_call", sender=":1.40" (uid=1000 pid=4798 comm="exo-mount)
interface="org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume"
member="Mount" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0
destination="org.freedesktop.Hal"(uid=0 pid=3265 comm="/usr/sbin/hald)).

thank u for help...

ps: it worked fine with gnome before...

Re: automount@openbox [SOLVED]

The easy fix is to install GDM.

The other way is to use

exec ck-launch-session openbox-session

or maybe

exec dbus-launch --exit-with-session openbox-session

in your .xinitrc

Re: automount@openbox [SOLVED]

I have a similar problem (don't want to open a new thread):
With "ck-launch" I'm able mount my external HD. The Drive now belongs to my user "hendrik" and the group is "root".
The problem is, that I store my music on the external drive and for playback I use mpd+ario. The mpd-daemon doesn't seem to have access to the drive.
Is there a way to automatically allow the mpd access?

Thanks in advance!
