Teamspeak came out with a new version that is cross platform and has 32-bit and 64-bit support.

I've always subscribed to Ventrilo for several reasons. Vent always had a better codec, so better quality. Vent was not as easily hacked as TS and did not have as many exploits, AFAIK. However, TS3 actually looks pretty nice. So, I'll be trying it out. What do you think?

I'm using mumble and I love it so TS is no option for me but nice to hear that they reached a new version.

I installed TS3, too, and I like it. But normally you have no choice, what to use as a voice-chat-tool, here in germany everyone seems to use teamspeak, so if you are using things linke mumble or ventrilo you can only talk to yourself :-(

Then just start using other programs and show them to your friends. I've already convinced many TS-user to use mumble and they are working hard to convince their gaming partners.

Maybe that's easy when you play a shooter in a little clan. I am playing MMORPGs like WoW and it was hard to find somebody who likes to test TS3 with me, even I got a server. And when you are talking about switching, they tell you, that the others are all working with TS2 and it works well enough, so why switching? People don't like to change their habits...
