Isolinux LiveCD 2009-8 won't boot

Hello everyone,

wanted to install arch on my Sony VAIO Laptop and got this error again.

Waiting 30 seconds for device /dev/archiso
$ Error: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...
Falling louh to interactive Prompt You can ...

I got this error one year ago during installing arch on another laptop but was able to solve it by using another arch installation CD (still existing, but not able to boot ext4 from GRUB)

I know there are some workarounds in respect to usb boot images, but i need some help for the live cd problem.

Any help?

i got the same issue while installing arch from the current iso. Then i used 2008.03 iso and it installed like a charm.
I got Sony VAIO VGN-CR313H here....you can try it if you want to!
