gnome-panel's clock is broken

My gnome-panel has been unstable as of late, and my primary suspect is the clock.  Whenever I run "killall gnome-panel", almost everything in gnome-panel fixes itself except for the clock.  I'm not sure what's wrong with it.  I don't use evolution, so I doubt that's the problem.  I also attempted to fix the timezone on /etc/rc.conf, but to no avail.  Might there be a quick a fix I somehow skimmed over while search this forum?

Thanks for the help.

Re: gnome-panel's clock is broken

Try peeking at /apps/panel/default_setup/applets/clock using gconf editor.. maybe reset settings, etc..

Not sure what the default is supposed to look like, but here's the configuration.
