how to adjust pacman column widths

Even when I run pacman in a fullscreen xterm, many package names are cut off in the "Retrieving packages" step...
The individual lines look like the following:

kdemod-kdemultimedi...   263.3K  956.0K/s 00:00:00 [#############################################################################################################################################################################] 100%

Now, I don't see the need for so many #'s to be shown in each line that you can't even read the whole package name, let alone the package version, for many packages...

Is there a way to tweak pacman's column widths to something more sensible?

Thanks...

Re: how to adjust pacman column widths

Any hints?

Even for 80-chars-terminal-width I'd much prefer this:

kdemod-kdemultimedia-common-4.3.90-1 3.1M 1783.4K/s 00:00:01 [######----] 61%

over the current output:

kdemod-kdemultimedi... 3.1M 1783.4K/s 00:00:01 [#############--------] 61%

I mean, the progress bar is just a bonus - it doesn't provide any additional information... It should never prevent any important info from being shown...

Re: how to adjust pacman column widths

It's just not possible currently, but there is a patch that does what you want (at least in case the terminal is large enough).
