Hello
As soon as i try to run an old guest or to launch a new one, the whole computer freezes.
No mouse/keyboard interactions are possible anymore, and switching to any tty using ctrl+alt+f<n> also doesn't work anymore.
I don't even know when to start look for logs.
VBox has been working really well yesterday for sure, and I made daily updates.
I hope you'll be more efficient than me.
Thank you

try updating all virtualbox packages to 3.1.2-2. you have to wait until mirrors are synced

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I've got the same problem as you did. I hope it would be solved soon.

Did you do an update of your kernel recently. The same problem occured to me also after updating to the latest kernel.
According to the wiki you should run "vbox_build_module" as root after updating to a new kernel, but that didn't work for me. I simply reinstalled virtualbox and the problem was solved.
I'm running virtualbox_bin from AUR.

everything is going back to normal since the update to virtualbox 3.1.2-2 (and a reboot)
you were right Wonder, just needed to wait a little, thanks
I hope an update will solve your problem the same way

Yes, I updated the kernel today. And after updating vbox-ose 3.1.2-1 to 3.1.2-2, everything returns to normal. I use virtualbox-ose.
But I think virtualbox_bin from AUR should work fine because it was updated to 3.1.2-2 a week ago. You can check it out. Good luck!

Mine was freezing too and had to hard reset my box several times, and I already had 3.1.2-2 installed... but forgot to do vbox_build_module *d'oh* Solved now as well here!
