I dug up an old iMac G3 powerpc. I had installed linux on it (kubuntu 4.06?) some time ago. I had backed up my mac osX panther install cd's just in case.
I am trying to restore the mac with OSX on it to give to my brother, as he is computerless and likes macs. I have the .dmg files. I have also been successful in extracting the files, since I found no way to burn them directly. Now I am stuck, as I am not sure how to make a linux friendly ISO that will also burn as a proper boot cd for the mac.
I believe it has to be an HFS image, but how do you flag it to bootable? You can no longer purchase OS9/OSX power PC, so I am stuck with that route. Any help?
How to burn .DMG as bootable HFS
Or how to create mac bootable HFS image file from files.

I'm not really sure, but iirc you can convert dmg to iso with acetoneiso.
