Arch stock kernel 2.6.10-ARCH and agpgart

Does Arch stock kernel 2.6.10-ARCH has agpgart built as a module or is it built internally? can't find proper name in /usr/src/.../.config
I'm trying to get direct rendering on my ATI card and read somewhere that in order to work agpgart must be loaded as a module.
I will be using Ati drivers packaged by Link.

Re: Arch stock kernel 2.6.10-ARCH and agpgart

The default Arch kernel has agpgart built into the kernel. I'm not sure if the current ATI drivers require a separate module but the old ones (six months ago) did. I compile a custom kernel anyway so I just set agpgart as a module in my custom build and made a package.

I'm guessing it still need that separate agpgart module. Just to make sure i will recompile the kernel with agpgart set as a module. Hope everything will be ok.

Re: Arch stock kernel 2.6.10-ARCH and agpgart

Ok, i did it.... yes now i can enjoy full dri with about 575 fps in fgl_glxinfo,
and mouse moves much smoother too...
Those drivers packaged by Link are working 100% perfect, thank you pal
I didnt even recompile the kernel, used it with the original stock one 2.6.10-ARCH, also i think with the second package to make it all work you need to pass the f option to pacman to overwrite GL libs in xorg.
hope that helps.
