A PKGBUILD is a bash build script.
ABS is a ports-like system providing a directory tree on your local machine, (if ABS has been installed) containing PKGBUILDs for official Arch packages. (The corresponding binaries reside within the core, extra and community repos).
The AUR is the Arch User Repository, providing a web interface, and links to AUR PKGBUILDs, which are maintained by users and TUs.
