Texlive Update /usr/share/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg [SOLVED]

Sorry for such a stupid question, but I am not entirely sure what I am supposed to do with the pacnew file. I am really not familiar with the way texlive works (I just know the language).

As far as I can tell the file is used to tell the components where the fonts are. The pacnew one has no list of files. I don't know how the original one was generated so any help would be greatly appreciated in this respect.

Re: Texlive Update /usr/share/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg [SOLVED]

My understanding is that the map files listed in the existing updmap.cfg are important and thus this list should be left there.  The list was generated when texlive was first installed.  The top line of the pacnew file is the only change.  I just copied that top line into updmap.cfg and deleted it's top line. Then I deleted the pacnew.

So that was my approach here. Curious if others have better information?  I'm not an expert but did do some research today.

Just a little vimdiff got it fixed. Thanks. I just worried that the map file needed to be regenerated or something; I assumed the real trivial change would not warrant a pacnew, but I guess I was wrong.
