When running BitTorrent on my wireless connection, which is an AR5212 using ath5k, my connection to the router becomes very slow and will often time out. dmesg has lots of errors that look like this:
ath5k phy0: no further txbuf available, dropping packet
and this:
ath5k phy0: unsupported jumbo
and of course, most packets from other operations never make it the whole trip.
That seems to happen anytime I have an active torrent running. If I stop the torrents, everything speeds right back up again like nothing happened.
This seems to have been worsened very much by recent kernel updates, but I'm not sure if it has been or not since I don't often run BitTorrent over wireless connections.
All help appreciated. : )

I use my atheros card as AP only - this patch solved the issue: http://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/56785/. Rgds, N.

Thanks for the heads up on the patch, nosorozec. Compiling now, hopefully will work.

Hmm, this seems to have made it occur less often, but it still appears in the logs occasionally and there is still general connectivity problems when ktorrent is running. Hopefully it will get fixed in 2.6.33.
